Lee Ann Brown was born in Japan and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the author of Polyverse, The Sleep That Changed Everything, Bagatelles for Cornell, In the Laurels, Caught and served as judge for the 2012 Carolina Wren Press Poetry Series. Far from the Fields of Ambition, is her book for Black Mountain College from Lorimer Press and Lenoir-Rhyne University. She is the founder of Tender Buttons press, and is Associate Professor of English at St. Johns University in New York City. Brown lives in both New York City and Marshall, North Carolina.
