Ross White, Wren Poetry Prize Winner 2025
Blair is proud to announce the winner of the Wren Poetry Prize is Guilt Ledger by Ross White.
Sandra Beasley, Blair’s Poetry Editor and final judge for the Wren Poetry Prize, says, "When I read Guilt Ledger, I was struck by the integrity of the voice, which is in turns playful, critical, and elegiac," said Beasley. "I could not stop thinking about these timely poems. The team at Blair is thrilled to work with Ross White in bringing this powerful collection to a wide audience."
Ross White is the director of Bull City Press, an independent publisher of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. He is the author of Charm Offensive, winner of the Sexton Prize for Poetry, and three chapbooks: How We Came Upon the Colony, The Polite Society, and Valley of Want. His poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, New England Review, Poetry, Ploughshares, Poetry Daily, and The Southern Review, among others. He teaches creative writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Blair will publish the winning collection in 2027.
